On October 11, 2025, Master Nestor Folta served as the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) representative at the Chantilly Fire Station #15 Open House, welcoming and guiding 38 visitors throughout the day.
Master Folta shared insights into the daily life of Fairfax County firefighters, giving guests a behind-the-scenes look at the station’s living quarters, the fire engines, and specialized emergency equipment used in real-life response operations.
Families and children enjoyed hands-on activities, including the chance to hold and operate a real firehose, using water pressure to “knock down flames” represented by red-painted wooden boards—a fun and educational way to understand the power and precision of firefighting.
Through his volunteer service with CERT and other community outreach programs, Master Folta demonstrates his ongoing commitment to public safety, readiness, and community wellness, inspiring others to stay prepared and get involved.
