Nestor Koichi Folta

Nestor "Koichi" is a 3rd-degree black belt in Uechi Ryu Karate Do, with over 20 years of experience training and teaching. He is fluent in Japanese and has lived in Okinawa for two months every year from ages 5 to 17. He also attended Elementary and Middle Schools in Okinawa while living there. Nestor regularly trained in Okinawa and is an All-Okinawa Karate Champion (Team Kata-Middle School). Nestor K. is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and currently resides in Centerville, where he works as a drone expert. Nestor's interests extend beyond karate to sports and computer gaming. Soccer and snow skiing are his secondary passions. He is the No. 1 son of Master Folta and Mayumi Folta.

Master Folta is a fantastic teacher that really cares about his students' progress and their wellbeing, and is very enthusiastic about imparting authentic traditional Uechi-ryu karate from Okinawa, Japan to every person that comes to train.
